Cars with two heads, two engines or three wheels. Cars that fold in half and even run by propeller. A 100 ton amphibious vehicle? This is not your typical car museum!

Lane Motor Museum in Nashville,TN features 150 unique cars and motorcycles and is home of the largest European collection in the U.S. The vehicles date from the 1920s all the way up to modern day and feature a varied collection of microcars, amphibious vehicles, military vehicles, alternative fuel vehicles, prototypes, one-of-a-kind vehicles and motorcycles. A great exhibit that the whole family can enjoy!

At Lane Motor Museum visitors are introduced to a broad variety of vehicles from Europe, Asia, and North and South America. Engineering, politics, geography, and economics are a few of the factors which have shaped vehicles throughout history. This is a working museum with the goal being to maintain all vehicles in running order.

This video gives a history of the museums creation and current operations.

  • I love the micro cars. Is the 59 Berkeley in this video? do you show any video with it. my friend had the 59 berkeley before it joined the other cars in the museum.

  • @ringosgal

Thanks! I don't think we have any video of the Berkeley being driven. It's a beautiful little car, we really should get it out more!

  • Just a curiosity: Do you guys have a DeLorean? it was an American car, but it was manufactured in Northern Ireland, so i don't know if you would call that a European car.

  • No, we don't. I know our director has looked at a few, but we've never acquired one. Great story that will be in all the automotive history books of the future.

  • on your website under fun FAQ i found a type-o: Yamaha comes after Xtreme Motor Co.

Does Lane Motor Museum really have cars from A to Z?

Okay, here we go: Amphicar, Berkeley, Citroën, DKW, Fiat, Georges Irat, Honda,

Ifa, Jensen, Kawasaki, Lotus, MG, NSU, OTAS, Porsche, Renault, Scootacar,

Tatra, Ultra Van, Voisin, Weidner, Yamaha, Xtreme Motor Co., and Zündapp.

Well, you caught us. We are missing E and Q, but we are working on those.

  • Thanks, good catch! We'll get it taken care of soon. If you see a nice Eshelman for sale, let us know ;-)
