  • Cool finds wasabi!

  • Hello RecoveringRelics, yeah I was hoping for more, but I think someone had beat me to the spot.

  • Very nice finds. try a pinpointer, you will save a lot of time digging, I have a pro pointer and just love it. THANKS

  • Thanks for the tip nebraskagoldhunter. I have a pinpointer and have used several. Pinpointers can save you a lot of time.

  • I have a Minelab Safari but I do like the F4 F70 and F75 fishers. I think it doesn't so much matter so much as to what detector you use as it is the technique of the person using it.

  • InspireImages your minelab should do you well. I think both the person and the detector count, but everyone should really learn their detector and the limits it has.

  • Well that's true, we have treasure trove laws which state that all gold and silver found is the property of the crown and if no declared then you go to prison, very harsh! Still most of us don't tell them that, and sell the item on ebay or in Europe, or the US. That law was started by king john in the 13th century because he wanted it all for himself, greedy begger!

  • @wasabi167 Never believe anybody if they tell you a spot is hunted out that's BS. People loose stuff everyday also in the early spring, the frost pushes items up toward the surface.

  • I suppose you are a nice guy etc and I don't intend to try to make you feel bad but you're only covering about 50% of the ground with your large non-overlapping sweeps.

  • Buy a Garrett Pro Pointer and use it. You will save 2x the time and get to dig 2x as much. For everyone watching, dig the plug, use the hand held pinpointer. There should have been more older coins. You might need a better MD that can discrim out iron from coins.

  • Thanks TXCoindigger .

  • Thank you Commander. I thought it might have been a type of promotional item you could get with the purchase of some cigs.
