@cyril1917 Dana starts a bar fight, her and her friends ride away from the MPs on motorcycles. That was the last thing I remember seeing before I refused to watch Robotech ever again, under any circumstances. So, I have no idea what you're talking about.

@atjnAdfhhjea One interview with Macek that I read included him saying that the PC thing you mentioned was his idea to link the series. He'd done a 1st draft of the Macross section and was working on the Masters when the flowers gave him the whole "Protoculture matrix" idea. That's when he went back and redid some of the Macross script for his new definition ( including mentioning but not showing SDF-2 ) and then made the flower the Invids' motive to invade.

@MadCatChiken My biggest problem with the second one before I stopped was the blonde girl(forgot her English name) is the daughter of 2 of the wars best aces. So why the hell was she in the ground forces piloting what may or may not have been a tank and starting barfights? She never came across believably as being their kid, and she grated on my nerves.

True, the Macross part of Robotech is fine, though it is confusing when when they do use PC as the energy and annoying when they talk about Robotech Masters. I tried watching the 2nd and 3rd series and I stopped after about 2 episodes, and when I started hearing the same voice actors, voicing different characters..

@MadCatChiken To be fair, Robotech(first series obviously) was fairly faithful to the original Macross except for the definition of "Protoculture". I don't know why they thought deciding it was an energy source was a good idea, it made certain parts difficult to follow and it bugged me that it's nowhere near what the word parts mean.
