SaHeCo City - Sacred Heart College Mankon Bamenda

Sacred Heart College Mankon Bamenda in Cameroon was founded in 1961. The first batch of students attended classes at the premises of St. Joseph Primary School Big Mankon for one year before transferring finally to the present site at the then outskirts of Bamenda in Mankon along the Bamenda Bafut Road.. Since its creation Sacred Heart College has been predominantly run by the Marist Brothers, a denomination of missionaries of the Catholic Church. Following a diocesan reorganisation many years ago, Sacred Heart College has come to be run directly by the Archdiocese of Bamenda, thereby bringing to an end the era of the Marist Brothers, to whom this producer raises up his hat as a sign of acknowledgement of their marvellous work. Sacred Heart College is an all male Catholic secondray and high school, the high school section having been launched in October 1978, the year the producer of this video started schooling at SaHeCo City. In January 2011 Sacred Heart College celebrated its Golden Jubilee. This video was made in April 2010.
