West Country lads, the Rumble Strips, played an intimate gig on 18th May 2009 as part of Gaymers Grassroots Gigs, a series of exclusive money cant buy gigs which bring fans up close and personal with some of the most exciting bands on the British music scene.
Now in its second year, Gaymers Grassroots Gigs 2009 saw six bands head back to their hometowns to perform an intimate one-off set in a local venue close to their heart.
The Rumble Strips entertained a packed out crowd, containing over 200 lucky competitions winners, at The Cavern in Exeter. Opening with No Soul the Rumble Strips rocked the house for the home town crowd, with a performance that included tracks from their new album, produced by Mark Ronson, due out in July. The new album Welcome to The Walk Alone is the follow up to the bands critically acclaimed 2007 debut, Girls and Weather.
