Too bad it doesn't have phono inputs.

They should've made the rear recessed like the DJM 3000 that way you can put the mixer on the top or the bottom of your rack. The way it is now you have to put it on top or waste one or two spaces above it for cables and a longer reach to the controller. Doh!o(

Hi,
I'm use Rane mixers for their quality of sound along with the tremendous gain output they have.
I'm looking at this mixer that you did a great review on for the reason my new setup needs rear wiring such as the DJM 5000 for clearence issues. The new Rane mp25 has what I want but virtually twice the cost. What is your opinion on the sound quality of the 5000 and have you been able to compare it to a Rane or H&A?
Thanks

why in the hell would they bring this mixer out without phono inputs ? . big mistake in my book.

@dollabill60620 I think the thought was simply that CD mobiles would go for this before Phono. I also think that the market intended would be into the sound card option so that became the focus.
The DJM-700/800/909 all are set up with phono inputs....

Are you able to hear both the mic and music through the zone output?? I am a mobile dj and need to hear the mc's cues as well as the music and it seems like you can't do both with the booth out...Also this is 5 rack spaces??

@Inthemix22 You can hear the Mic through the zone, if you want to. The booth output does not carry the microphone. It;s a true booth out for a monitor, so no microphone. Yes 5 rack spaces.
