  • There's nothing so powerful as watching the mitre being placed on the head.

  • Sure it is! I think maybe just the imposition of Cardinals hat is more impressive. :)

  • Bella la versione corale della Missa Secunda Pontificalis di Lorenzo Perosi con orchestra !

Di quale ordinazione episcopale si tratta ?

Chi è il giovane Vescovo ordinato ?

    In quale Diocesi ?

  • What's the title of the song in the video? and Congratulations to the Bishop!

  • Is a ""Gloria in Excelsis Deo" sung in the same Holy Mass!

  • @rockandrollhunting Looks Catholic to me. The word "episcopal" refers to the office of bishop, and not necessarily to the Episcopal denomination. In the same vein, John the Baptist was not a Baptist.

  • You are absolutely correct, and I do apologize. But why the slap about "some 19th century pope?" "Yours" had better see fit to listen to the see of Peter. Your reality is nothing but a remanent. And the fey comment about purple socks? Was that productive? But, mea culpa.

  • @0276boy Newsflash to YOU and all other commenters: It's one of yours, not one of ours. The word episcopal in the lower case "e" simply means the order of bishop. So you owe this French born RC bishop an apology. As to RC canon law, buddy, we're not subject to it in other churches and care not a cent for the proclamation of some 19th century pope. Besides our Anglican ceremony is more restrained and we'd never do purple socks, just purple shirts.

  • Too bad all this pomp is for nothing. Episcopal orders are "null and void" according to Catholic Canon Law. Swim the Tiber brothers. Just like Newman did. If you've the guts.

  • @threefatdogs I think it did. In some "modern" translations of the Bible (e.g. New American Bible), he is referred to as John the Baptizer.

  • everyone reading this page especially any anglicans should investigate nimo753's comments on other pages. This person is advocating the beheading of christian people, raping of other christians, tortue and buggery. what a disgrace to anglicans and indeed christianity

  • @mindspring57 think the baptist surname had more to do with his baptism of others in the jordan?

  • i wanna be a bishop but i have to be like you Bishop , courageous ! keep up the good work

  • @MusicPredominates will mankind ever learn,

how can so many people be so lost..

  • @999Thip : Yes. This is a load of hypocrisy. Men would rather commune with bishops than with Almighty God. Pity mankind !
