Nelson Mandela, already a leading figure in resistance to apartheid, was asked by ITN's Brian Widlake, for his views about the campaign to secure the franchise for South Africa's black population. It is part of a longer ITN Roving Report news programme about Apartheid.

You cannot simply lump all Afrikaners together.I am not lumping all black South Africans together either, am I? SA is also the land of birth to the Boer people who lived their for hundreds of years, even BEFORE the Zulu's came along. For the black South Africans to "get over it" is indeed what I they should do. What's the use of blaming today's Afrikaners for the acts of their fathers and grandfathers? Hatred is hatred, one way or another. Racism is now mostly black on white in SA.

I never said that, I think you did not read what I said properly. Not all black people are native to South-Africa. The Zulu people, for example, only came to South-Africa in the 1800s with the armies of Shake Zulu. People like the Khoikhoi are the original South-Africans. After them came the Afrikaners (white people) and only then came the Zulus. If you can't face these facts then don't, but you cannot change history I'm afraid.

It really make me cry when the Most High has nothing to do about this. We are not free inside our homes and outside. Someone claimed that the off springs of Esau have been ruling this world since it began, i think Nelson suppose to know the history more than the younger ones today. Who are these Esau and Jacob named Israel that claimed the right that God blessed him and gave the world to them. Why have they hidden the fact from the world? This is crime. God if you' real exist, do somethin now.

You can't just expect a group of people to "get over" such experiences in ~18 years. It's unfair to blame Afrikaners as a whole, I agree, but the fault of the "white" government, which many Afrikaners supported. Though it's over, Apartheid is still crippling the citizens of South Africa, black, white, or Asian.
