@Burncourtable Thats the media for you, Look at the UK you can't say you support a united Ireland without being branded "a terrorist" Which is what made being an Irish Immigrant there so hard for so many years, and still to this day.
-
RTE as per usual doing a nice West Brit slash and burn job on our national history and heritage. Blaming songs for terrorism is spineless and weak. The wolfe tones have a right to sing what they want and they are still pouplar so take it for what it is.
-
LOL, the Continuity Wolfe Tones.
May I also suggest:
The Real Wolfe Tones
or
Republican Wolfe Tones :-D
-
I agree with you

I Have now been to 3 wolfe tones gigs now and I will keep going. I think thay are an amazeing band. True some of the songs are about the celtic and the IRA but they are telling a story just like every other band worldwide. it is also true that some of the fans who go support celtic and or the IRA but you can't decide what fans go to your gigs and how your fans act its like saying that before the tones thare was no war in Ireland or football rivalry. I am not up the RA I am up the "wolfe Tones"

they are not very articulate, to be honest
-
@Arminia1910 Because they are too cowardly!
-
@EnglishChannel1 Well said
-
i remember watching this and thinking you free state bastards live in a country that was formed on the back of "terrorist acts" as the then govt of the uk said...now kenny & o'toole if you dont like the history...leave!

@ajh1234 When I say irish protestants I mean unionists in NI. Yes ETA and the IRA mainly kill people who they view as combatants. I suppose that does make them different from al-queda. They are still killers though.
Why did'nt they just say:"Yes, we do support the IRA!"?
