mx5 maintenance cost is super cheap, too far than MB. While the performance is very close.

PR CRAP... JUST LOOK the SLK LOOKS BETTER, it is a luxury car not a compromise car. it is Mercedes not mazda. ot drives better and look s much much better from the inside and outside.

MX5 is a car for everyday purpose. It's comfortable, have great performance per price and doesn't have 100.000 BHP which makes this car's fuel consumption light compered to SLK for example... It's a great car which was proved throughout it's history by being to most selling convertible in history. My favorite car in fact. I don't dare saying SLK is a bad car but Mazda is simply my choice here.

well they might say whatever they want but my dad's slk retracts the hard top much much faster .... i could actually say that it actually retracts it in about 15 seconds.... so mercedes ftw

Um...I'm a fan of the Miata and RX-7/8's but how could anyone give this guy so many thumbs up for saying that mazda is THE most reliable manufacturer? The most reliable is between Toyota/lexus, honda/acura, and Ford's group.

Sure, but if you're already married, it'll be the MX5 you want. Why? because it'll make you feel young again. You can't drive the bag off of an SLK and get the same joy out of it. It feels heavier, is automatic, and not much more than a soft little boulevard cruiser. Go to a racetrack and see how many SLKs you find there versus MX5s. If its image you're concerned about, then you've missed the point.
MX5 = driver's car through and through
SLK = retired driver's or young poser's car

Miata MX5 have trunk if you have some stuff needs to put in trunk with two people in car. but other car doesn't have it....... mercedes are over 30k dollar and mx5 is under 25k dollar.
