This tank may not look like much, but it is one of the most vital things we have to do for the house renovation... it's a mini-wastewater treatment plant. All the wastewater - everything from the toilet to the dishwasher to the washing machine to the shower - will go into this and is treated and cleaned up by friendly bacteria ... then pumped back out to the garden. This is the secret to how I'm going to have a garden in one of the driest parts of the country.
The tank is by Ozzikleen, we got it from a friendly plumber called Malcolm in Castlemaine. Note the tractor driving skills of Dave... to save money we dug the hole ourselves with Dave's little machine. Normally they would have a much bigger one, that would be able to actually lift the tank up and lower it in to the hole. We had to get creative... this is apparently not the normal way of installing. :-)
