The Routeburn Track is one of New Zealand's Great Walks. In three days, it leads from Mount Aspiring National Park into Fiordland National Park. The first day takes you from Lake Wakatipu through the Routeburn valley, then ascending to Routeburn Falls Hut at the treeline. On the second day, Harris Saddle (1255 m) is crossed; a side trip leads up to Conical Hill. The final day is mainly downwards through forest to the Divide on Milford Road. On this final stretch, you can take another side trip to the Key Summit. The Routeburn Track can be combined with the Greenstone or Caples Tracks to a round trip back to Lake Wakatipu.
