Many of the greatest musicians are vegetarians/vegans. This isn't all of them of course.
David Bowie was vegetarian once, but I just learned he is a bullfight fan, making him a TWISTED, CRUEL FOOL with musical talent, so I'll leave his song "Heroes" here for now, done live in Paris in 2002.
Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin was veg in the band's heyday, but I don't know if he still is.
Marc Bolan stopped being veg during his decline 1975-77, but then started again before the fatal car crash.
To the best of my knowledge everything's accurate; if not, please let me know.

Great MD's site on veganism: http://veganmd.blogspot.com/2007/11/fears-of-unsuspecting-vegan-answered.html

Excellent BOOK for anyone going vegan:
"Plant Based Nutrition and Health" by Stephen Walsh

Sorry! ...A pic of Queen is mistakenly labeled Yes. Both Yes and Queen have/had at least 2 veg members though.

  • @TheInbornMechanics Hahaha, you are funny. I see disgusting unhealthy looking people all over the place and more than 90% of the population are daily meat/dairy eaters. I'm long-time vegan and damn healthy, thank you very much, lmao!

  • @JutaStokes Sorry, I didn't really think you were arguing, I just always like to get my sermon in there ;-)

  • @1221solstice2012 I wasn't arguing, just discussing a point of trivia. : ) I have spent this year making the journey from omnivore to vegan and agree with you completely!

  • @JutaStokes I've heard different; but what Hitler did or didn't eat or believe in for whatever reason is not why I'm vegan...I'm vegan because I can thrive this way and because animal farming and slaughter I do not want to partake in, and believe that no ethical human being should.

  • @necrOothic Hitler was put on a vegetarian diet by his doctor, it wasn't something he believed in.

  • Excellent - Rock on

  • FOREVER VEGANNNNNNNNNNNNNN YEAHAHEAH!!!!!!!!1111111

  • @HardAsARock222 What a nice thing to say...thank you! I remember the meat/dairy/egg addiction, and the pushers are all over the place. Then these meat people even have to come and paste their awful bloody spam on our vegan videos. You'd think they'd be much more secure in their huge majority, but they're not...that says a lot for our side.

  • @1221solstice2012 No doubt, it's great to know that. I learned through Gary Yourofsky (I'm sure you're very aware of him) His lectures are so profound and almost mesmerizing to the point of intimidation. I would like to see his point of view become more mainstream. It doesn't take any effort for people to become very comfortable and addictive to dairy and meat (through media and social outlets) but it takes a bit of scavenging to find honest and caring people (like you) with great ideas.

  • @HardAsARock222 People are here for a lot of disgusting reasons, like murder, rape, etc.; wouldn't it have been better to not have to admit to all that, and to not have it still happening every day? Dr. Steve Best is a "radical" animal-liberationist college professor who teaches those things you mentioned, so there's one institution in Texas that's doing good, and there are other such examples. Thanks for being vegan!

  • I am a vegan and I think people have been misinformed and will be for as long as it's possible. I never knew the harmful effects of eating meat, drinking milk, or consuming animal byproducts in general. I never witnessed (first hand) how animals are tortured, raped, enslaved, and killed. No institution will ever demonstrate those things to people. It's an epidemic that devastates lives. But lets not forget, Eating meat and cannibalism are a means of survival...a lot of us are here because of it
