Met Mr. Benton at Allen's Hardawre store in Laurelton, NY; 199th and Linden Blvd. (1966)
I was 16 and working on a saturday. He brought in an aluminum storm window for repair. I briefly 'interviewed" him. A true gentleman. today's musical hopefuls could learn from this gentlemen. n years to come i would meet other celebrities by using the same direct approach of just introducing myself.
