  • Thats awesome! You can see it bubbling! We loved that cherry you brought down last time, I bet grape will be just as good..... What's the oldest wine you have made? Your oldest bottle?? I really liked the apricot as well, but the cherry and blueberry have been the best so far, in my opinion.....Loved the video, can't wait to see step 2!

    Great song too btw :o)

    Hope you're enjoying your summer!!!!!!

  • @jenniferluvshaytards It is always so cool when it starts to bubble! It will do this till probably Saturday. It kind of makes the house smell like a brewery though. LOL

    let's see, the oldest would be the 1st Blueberry batch. That was from I think around 2002 or 2003, I think. (None of that left) The oldest that I still have in the basement would proably be about five years old or so. I think I still have Apricot, Banana, and a couple other kinds from a long time ago.

    Step 2 is coming soon!

  • @VaperSteve1975 ;o) many thanks for the info steve (o;

  • @avery7001 No matter how long you wait the sulfite levels from the Campden tablets will not change in the bottle. Only contact with oxygen changes the levels, and the levels present at 1 tablet per gallon concentration are not poisonous or harmful unless you are sensitive to sulfites. The acceptable daily intake is up to 0.7 mg per kg of body weight. Sodium metabisulfite has no side effects; it is oxidised in the liver to harmless sulfate and excreted in urine.

  • (o; i use camden tablets (1 per gallon )as a preservative ,but don drink for at least a week or two ;o) they are poison

  • why the sucky music?

  • I can state that this recipe works. My friends and I have been experimenting with different recipes made from grocery store juice, and I can say that after sampling the product at one week in it definitely contains alcohol.
