@3hickmanm It's quite disheartening to people like me, although we are few and far between, who have such respect for Japan, its culture, and language that we spend much time and dedication in studying it. :) This is why I'm reluctant to mention my interest in Japan and things Japanese; I get lumped in with the little twelve year old girls who know nothing more than to shout, in a high, squeaky voice: "KAWAII DESU." Ugh.

@3hickmanm You know there are non-Japanese people who can speak Japanese fluently, right? I've been learning Japanese for about five years; and although I'm not to native level quite yet, I speak Japanese WITHOUT looking like a fool- because I do so only when necessary, and I don't throw the word "KAWAII" about every two seconds. Please, don't lump all gaijin who speak (or, in many weaboos cases, "try" to speak) Japanese together.
