Qrp is like using 1 watt on 10 meters and talking 20 miles away, the idea of radio is to use minimal power to make and maintain contact

@JettaJ1 Di you mean to say: It does do in fact 40 watt's on single side band? And you are trying to call me an idiot? mmmm I'm not sure what comment you are replying to, but next time you want to call someone an idiot you need to learn a tad bit yourself. But now that you mention it, there is no way that radio does 40W on a scope with a clean non-harmonic wave. But you will think that when you do not know electrical theory.

@sirwitchback rci 2950 old. do infact do 40w on SSB and as low as 1 watt. idiot

my ears are bleeding!!!!!

@joistein yeah you are right..forgot it....:~)...i used it on hollidays on 11meter and home on 10 meter...mostly mobile or portable..
-
use rf gain to turn down power and you have qrp radi, but this radio dont like power under 13V .... :-)
-
congrats youve just proved me right
20 watts is not qrp
-
@NubsWithGuns Low power dumbass. Dont try to talk like you know somthing, when you do not. QRP, has nothing to do with the fact of the battery or the woods. The 2950DX is a QRP rig. I think the most out put on mine is close to 20W on SSB. Tard.
nice radio!!!!..i used to have one..wonderfull, open it, just behind the display you'll see two jumpers...you can extend the range(26-32 Mhz by putting them in other position...you will find on the net how to..73
