love it.

I find this very nice way of dancing
-
I may be wrong but I think this is Frieda and Muiread Gray, two sisters who danced for Inis Ealga in Dublin and were both World Champions.
-
The speed and accuracy to which these steps were executed was outstanding. It was an absolute pleasure to watch.

Great stuff. Thanks for posting Gerry :-)

Also known as The Golden Eagle
Cheers

any idea who the two ladies are dancing?

Anyone know the name of this tune by any chance?
Kevin Joyce uses this tune on his Back to the Start CD -- track 8 -- he lists it as The Humour's of Galway -- but I haven't been able to find an abc tune file with this name.
Is it known by another name?
Thanks,
Ted

What I like is the clean footwork -- placement, crossing, clicks and cuts -- all executed beautifully. Though this is technically a "fast" hornpipe, the beautiful footwork should inspire today's "slow hornpipe" dancers to work on the details. Time passes, but there's never any change to these mantras: cross the feet, high on the toes, keep your rhythm. A beautiful video. Thank you!
