I know this is a noob question but where do I buy massive? Is it on the Fruity Loops website? Or is there a related site that has plugins? Also How do I get some free plugins like rough rider?

Massive is a plug-in by Native Instruments. You can find it on their website, (Just do a google search). Tons of free synths and plug-ins are out there you just have to search for them. Nice name btw, I'm an Adam too. ;)

Haha hell yeah man thanks. I'm just starting to make dubstep but I'ts really difficult to make it so it doesn't sound repetitive, Probably because I'm new at it, but everyone says Massive is basically mandatory for dubstep. I have a feeling Native Instruments will help a lot and make it much easier. There is only so much I can do with the plug-ins that came with FL studios. (Sytrus, 3xOsc, etc.) Thanks again Adam and nice to meet you!!

Believe it or not Sytrus and 3xOSX are VERY powerful plug-ins. Massive is also a very powerful plug-in, but don't tell yourself that you NEED any sort of plugins to make stuff sound good. With enough time, effort, trial/error, and a bit of luck I assure you things will start to sound better and get less repetitive. Try to emulate and get inspired by the arrangements of your favorite tunes. Cheers!

i really dont think that this is the best way to make a sub bass. boosting frequencies is in general a bad a idea. its better to use subtractive equalization and leave out the sub frequencies in your other synths rather than muddying up the sound, and then carry the sub. and no offense, but using the sausage fattener really killed it. if you want it to be louder, youre doing it wrong.

Point taken, I never said it was the best way to make a sub, just how I personally make my sub. The SF was meant to some extra harmonics making it "warmer" not louder. None taken brotha, everyone does things differently :)

Ok cool. Yeah I'm somewhat happy with the stuff I've made so far. I just need more practice. I'm also going to master the free plug-ins before I buy massive because I don't want to overwhelm myself. What do you mean by emulate?
