I just built a new machine and panic set in when it didnt boot.
It had these half assed locks on that I thought odd when I fitted up the mems (4 Vengence units). After trying to use the auto mem config etc and reading the MB book and sweating about what to do I remembered the sticks just dint seem secure at the non locked end. for good measure I removed and reinserted all 4 chips. The system did boot.
NB yep they were the right way rond both times. And this is a feature!
@cwsef yes, i live in my dads basement, and im poor, i cant afford food since i bought a new computer with 32 giabyet ram and an gtx550 togheter with an i3... /b/ told me that was a good build...
@cwsef have u used the maximus iv gene-z? im using it right now in my main system and that is definitely not true. you need only do push down the first side and the automatically locks in. that in itself is the innovation, because it allows you to work with mATX systems with much more ease than before.
@747jonas did you receive to less love from your mom or because you're talking like that to adult people. 19 years old and got an empty room where has to be a brain
@VioletMould watch at 0:49 ... if you want to reinstall the rams you've got to stick your hand into the tower. if you want or not. why? because you have to push down the ram on the other side too or it won't be installed properly. and in this case this "innovation" is useless. this is not a flame cause i'm using asus products since long and i will use them in the future also.
