Thank you for the video, very clear and informative.
Do you by any chance plan to show how and when to use counter-enamel?
Would love to know more and also how you stop it from sticking to the support in the kiln. I use a metal tripod to lay the work on when firing but it always winds up sticking to the support breaking untidily when I remove it from the support after cooling the work
Would very much appreciate any tips, Silvi

@catfirelily Counter enamel is a great topic. We'll add it to our list of videos to shoot.
One trick is to use the insides of your tripod instead of the tips. If you've got the triangular type of tripod that I'm picturing, make sure you have one large enough so that your piece can nestle within the 3 sides of it while still remaining flat. That way the sides are supporting the bare edge of the metal instead of the tips supporting the enameled underside. Make sense?

It your enamel is dirty it can become discolored, or have flecks and other dirt in it. And once it's fired, those accidents are there to stay. Also if it's a transparent enamel, dirt can cause it to appear cloudy.
