I find the fact that most Americans don't know that America was founded on secularism [not favoring any one religion] completely baffling.

There are a lot of people in positions of power who believe that this nation was founded on Christianity. Not so. It was founded by religious outcasts from Europe fleeing persecution.

I do agree about atheists going overboard about taking "in god we trust" etc. off the dollar, though.

Anyway if Christians tried to push Atheists out they would all go to China (an atheist state) and take most of America's wealth and intelligence with it. :P

Eventually the entire country will unravel and there will be a civil war in America, between Secularists and Christian Extremists (which the entire world would send troops to fight against). ;)

What?!?!?!?!?!?!? First of all, as county1 said, why are there no atheists? Secondly the reason there isn't prayer in schools is because this is a secular nation. There is no official religion and religious freedom does mean freedom from religion. And lastly the guy who tried to get Under god out of the pledge is one man and can't be used to represent Atheists in general. There is no set rules to being Atheist everyone has there own interpretation.
