What is today's media portraying for little kids? Should the media be monitoring its content? Are little kids prone to copy what they see?

  • I hate to say it, but I think you've totally missed the point here. Olive didn't learn to dance like a stripper from the TV, she learned it from her grandfather, who had been teaching her such a dance for weeks for this "beauty peagent" It's goes along with the hilarious yet slightly twisted nature of the film's humor, and the grandpa's character. Are children subjected to terrible and inappropriate things from the media? Sure. But Little Miss Sunshine isn't a good example of this.

  • Her grandpa shows her this to kill the point of beauty peagents, not from stuff like this..
