Air Crash Investigation Mayday Deadly Reputation Part 3 out of 6. This is a shocking brand new investigation. On 17 July 2007, TAM Airlines Flight 3054 slid off runway 35L at Congonhas Airport and crashed at high speed into a TAM Express warehouse adjacent to a filling station and exploded. A total of 199 people aboard the plane and on the ground are killed. Incorrect engine throttle settings upon landing caused one engine to reverse thrust while the other increased power, causing a loss of control. The runway was notorious and had even recent incidents.

funny that the runway sign is only about as large as one man when they examine the runway... guess that wasn't filmed on site.

difficult to interupt the operation of the runway my ass. They managed to do it to resurface the whole bloody thing, they could have just done it there and then

at the end " so why had this landing, gone so wrong?" answer: because airbus's have a mind of their own... it randomly decided to speed up, when they wanted it to slow down... and funnily enough at the airshow a few years ago another a320 crashed, because it couldn't perform a rejected takeoff, and flew into a forest... and there is plenty more, the air france a320 for example in 2009, the list is endless...
