This video concentrates on the practice of female circumcision in the Afar Tribe, and contains subjects some viewers may find distressing. Lana Inglis travels to Ethiopia to join the Afar tribe. Whilst there, she meets a woman the same age as herself with 4 children and discusses the common practise of female circumcision within the tribe. Great short video from BBC show Tribal Wives. Part of a series. Six women give up their everyday lives and spend a month living with some of the world's most remote tribes, immersing themselves fully into their new culture. Each woman must work, eat and sleep exactly as the other tribal women.

What they do to these girls ensures that they will never, ever, enjoy sex. Even if their husband loves her he will never be able to bring her pleasure. A far cry from the effects of male circumcision for all you people on your hobby horses out there.

Also, it is explained that the men will think that they are sluts if they don't do it. So the men are expected to act like animals if the girl isn't completely subjugated. What a world.

They are more sexual than females. Should they get their penis cut off because they crave sex? What about men who rape women? Trying to impose OUR standards in THEIR countries will only fuel anti-neo-colonialist sentiments and resentment against the very countries Africa will depend on for development.
