  • great........

  • cant understand your english and all i herd is the words "measure" "volume" "titration" "acurately" and then she picks up a measuring cylinder........ then adds distilled water at the end.... is it just me?

  • @grabe101 The first is not considered a "trial"...it's called a rough titration. Rough titrations are always done first so that it lowers the time taken and actually makes the results more accurate since it is not considered a trial. Plus, you never do only two trials...three trials is an accepted number for titrations.

  • i think the technique she used will have a lower precision.. as for the accuracy then it would be advisable to use the second trial only....

    i suggest to take it slow at the first trial and take time to find the right endpoint and have a fast titration on the second trial since we already acquired the estimated necessary titrant to be used..

    in this way you can lessen the amount of reagents used furthermore, we can have better accuracy and precision..just a suggestion though...

  • @stephaniesuperhero When electrons become available from a strong enough reductant, oxide from manganate reacts with the protons from the acid. This is why manganate only works as an oxidant in acidic solution.

    MnO4^- + 8H^+ + 5e^- --> Mn^2+ + 4H2O

  • why was sulfuric acid added the beginning?

  • i wish i had a hot asian chemistry lab TA....

  • I found this helpful, as I was just doing this exact lab experiment a few days ago. I just wish the audio was better, way too much reverb to understand her efficiently.

  • @samgee2007 lol firstly islam is a religion, so it wouldnt have anything to do with how good her english is, and secondly she looks chinese to me, not very saudi arabian XD.
