Zhanjiang (湛江) is a prefecture-level city in Guangdong province, in southeast China.

Zhanjiang is located to the southwest of the city of Guangzhou on an inlet of the South China Sea. It is located on the eastern coast of the Leizhou Peninsula. The dialect in downtown districts is Cantonese, while the people in most counties speak Hai'nan dialect (or Leizhou dialect as referred locally). The dialect in Lianjiang County is Hahka.

Xuwen County is a county of Guangdong Province, China. It is under the administration of Zhanjiang city. It is southmost county of Guangdong Province. County seat is Xucheng Town.
