he did nothing but use he's best friend's mangekyou power, named Koto Amatsukami, it's a supreme genjutsu that needs 10 or more years to be set, and Itachi implanted Naruto with a crow who had this eye, waiting for Naruto to fight Sasuke and use it against Sasuke with the "Protect Konoha" order!
