@AviationMetalSmith River Line in New Jersey is a diesel light rail.

@AviationMetalSmith The Washington Metro is a full subway similar to the BART system in San Francisco. Roughly 1/2 the system runs underground while the remaining half is above ground. Maximum speeds the trains can run are up to 75mph although the Metro site states no more than 59mph.

they been going under trouble lately its kinda sad lots of ppl r being kill in wrecks and accident and ppl have been commiting suicide by jumping on the tracks

A commuter train is like MARC. Light rail runs through streets (street trackage) and usually only has one car, sometimes an articulated car that bends in the middle, and is powered by an overhead wire at 700 volts .
Light rail and subways are never diesel, always electric. Subways are powered by a third rail.

@Monisrocks I was on the marc/amtrak station waiting platform.
