The first free flight of Masten Space Systems' XA-0.1B-750 VTVL rocket vehicle. http://www.masten-space.com/

It flew to 9 meters, then back down, up, then landing. The camera was about fifty feet away, for hilarious zoom effect. Total flight time was about 25 seconds.

This is the first of MSS' vehicles to do free flight. This is a prototype of systems, a place to test hardware and software. It will lead to a vehicle that can fly to 120km with 100kg of scientific payload, then land, refuel, and fly again.
