    No, the helmets did not protect the German soldiers from rifle fire, that's a joke. And it was not 9mm they were firing at it, but 8mm.

    ive heard many war stories from my father as well as some research and the shape of the helmet has reflected 9mm before from its design, im not saying it stopped it, hell no

    You keep saying "9mm" that is a pistol round. The helmet did NOT stop any rifle rounds. That was, and is, Nazi propaganda.

    There was no country that had helmet that is bulletproof on that year , but Germany had the best one as they protected most of the solidiers head

    Very nice helmet!..I own a original M42 EF64 No Decal stahlhelm that was captured in Normandy And I got a M40 No Decal Q66 restored helmet I use for Reenacting.

    the germans were highly smart, much of their technology was adopted by victor nation of the ww2 like americans and russians, but you know why people didn't make helmets with a harder material that actually can stop bullets? if it's possible at all
