hi I am spanish speaker and I went to study to Aus..for me at the beginning it was a little bit confused to understand them because I learnt American English.

Just 3 Australian accents??? Really? Have any of these people actually lived in Australia. Sydney has 3 accents alone and people from Melbourne talk differently and I'm sure Queensland has its own accent too.

I'm English, myself, and I happen to think the Aussie accent is the best in the world. It can be wonderfully laid back, or incredibly smooth and refined (think 1940s American accents, but better). Geoffrey Rush is the perfect example of a great Australian accent. Listen to the man speak and then try and say the Australian accent isn't wonderful.
