That cello sounds warm and gorgeous and feels like part of...the player. I have heard YoYo Ma's version, this is better. This Dvorak melody is suppose to be hauntingly beautiful and the cellist did great here...but marred by an overly aggressive piano playing.
wow i study piano and i went to Courchevel this year and this cellist was there as a teacher and he played with the other teachers...and he has such a beautful sound...he is a great musician...
This is what you call "putting your heart into it!" This song brings tears to one's eyes and if one's eyes are not spilling over than certainly his heart is!! The cello is the bridge between the player and the audience. And the sound that is issued forth from the cello opens the eyes of the listener(s) to the very heart of the player. No words necessary.
