This video shows the technique of catching trout in cold, small mountain streams in Kärnten / Southern Austria. Walking in the water, it is possible to slowly approach them with the hands, grab and pull them out as they are hiding under stones or roots. In this case it's a young brook trout (Salmo trutta forma fario). The difficulty (compared to noodling!) lies in the low temperature of the water - witch is only about 12°C; and big fish are mostly hiding deep down in basins or under big stones

    yeah, just a small one in this video. the bigger ones I cought where around 30 - 35 cm. what do you catch in Oklahoma? trouts in the brooks or do you noodle for catfish?
