@blackacidlizzard That only counts genocide, mass murder, and politicide (a term encompasses all those; "democide"). It DOES NOT EVEN COUNT soldiers killed in wars or civilians killed by soldiers as collateral damage! So, clearly the state kills more people, even per capita, so the "illusion of civilization" (what I call it) is just a mask for the masses. They moved the more primitive widespread but minor violence to a centralized exterior slaughter. Search democide and that 80% number; books.

@blackacidlizzard Plus, there is a book I read...been so long..it shows through anthropology that fully 80% or greater of human hisotry was without the state. True, it was primitive times, and some violence occured...but...the state killed like 130 million people over about 2400 years after this stateless period (more than the stateless period by far, even per capita). Just the last 100 years, the states have killed 170million. It's accelerating. That only counts genocide, mass murder,...

@blackacidlizzard That's a good way of looking at it...I also like history. It's a provable fact, if people try, that civilization (society that is) started through trade...before the dawn of the city-states, long before the nation-states. Trade ended (to a degree) tribal isolationism, superstitions, prejudices, et cetera. This turned warring tribes of xenophobes into calm trading neighbors who didn't fear their own shadows. The market predates the state, and surely de-isolates (voluntarily).

Well, conservatives tend to think that that there is a spectrum which contains various "shades" of freedom of markets. They look at it as more of a rheostat than a switch. I honestly think the better argument against this claim (especially when taking into account their paradigm) is to point out that the state is (in the words of Robert Lefavre) a specifically "unproductive elite" A market MUST precede a state just as a teet must precede a mammalian baby growing up.

@gunsandbullhorns especially when the definition of a free market is a market without government intervention, i.e. regulation, tax, etc., only to the exception of prosecuting harm and fraud. Prosecuting harm and fraud in no way requires a fucking gang to operate monopolisticly in gang turf (within little dotted lines in draws on maps with no regard to terrain or natural borders). So, the idea the state (that's what he meant by government) created law, or thereby created the market is bunk.

@SecularNumanist
I don't think so, all I remember from him was his asinine economic ramblings. Did he talk about theistic presuppositionalism?

wow, if you want to effectively argue against someone try not to come off like some kind of crazed lunatic who's been locked in a dark bedroom for a little too long. just some advice, cause I can't even listen to your video its so unappealing. any actual points you may have made are lost, and this is your fault.

And if I took a different approach, there would be people who would find me too boring to listen to. We all have our own aesthetic sense.
