When we 1st wanted to implement social security, there were cries of socialism. The same is true of unemployment, food stamps, medicaid and a slew of other government programs that the majority of Americans now take for granted. They have also come to like these programs because they help all Americans, liberal and conservative.

yes, a lot of mortgage owners don't have much of a safety net to protect them from default if their income stream is interrupted. i'm a renter myself but i worry a lot about my parents. i also worry what will happen if my landlord defaults.

my gosh, youre utterly retarded. think about the next time you drive from point a to b over a bridge and on a smooth surface, just how long your vehicle would last if instead your path was just a dirt road or you had to take the loooong way because the bridge was out. then count your luckies that there are men much smarer than you at the helm who dispense your tax dollars accordingly so the roads you travel are efficient or the men who come out to your house when its on fire actually exist.

for making an above average salary, nor will they in the near future. and guess what? if i lose my job tomorrow and cant pay my mortgage because the unemployment cap is a mere fraction of what i'm used to living on, i'm fucking screwed. there is no socialist plan that exists for a professional cracker who lives in the burbs and owns a home.

indeed, i totally agree with your sentiments. i find it extremely mind boggling that there are so many out there who have very little understanding of exactly what constitutes socialism and are convinced that their going to be taxed to death by obama, lmao!

i live in connecticut, i'm a medical professional and do quite well. even before this election at least 1/3 of my gross went missing from my salary between state and federal taxes. these bitches have no clue what its like to be penalized....
