tibet doesn't acknowledge china's intention. riots were held because the torch relay(Olympic) was to be carried through Tibet, China wants to show the world and its own citizens that Tibet is part of China. to repress the protests tibetans were imprisoned, many suffering torture. The torch may very well cover ground where the blood of Tibetans has recently been shed.

I'm a proud American who try to get a balanced view on things, if your going to say 'Free Tibet' I'm going to look into the issue and research it and from what I see statistic their lives has been improving. Also the Tibetan population I mentioned was PURELY Tibetan in Tibet no Han, go to CIA world factbook, search it up.
