What I love so much about the Beats is their togetherness, the sense of community they shared, and the real understanding of who they were as a people. They had a grip on their significance as a force to redirect culture. Most people have no idea how pivotal the Beats were in creating the cultural breathing room we enjoy today, nor do they realize how much potential they have within themselves in shaping culture tomorrow.
