  • This is an incredibly under-rated album. I bought it in 1971when it came out & still have it! I think Ritchie's lead guitar work on this song is up there with Jeff Beck. I love the break at 2:41. Back in the late 60's/early 70's the individual members in each band stood out..., whereas today everyone sounds like a session musician, all the same. For instance each drummer had an individual style that stood out, like Ginger Baker, Keith Moon, Mitch Mitchell, John Bonham, & Ian Paice here.

  • @Smudgefizz yup I love Ritchie blakmore's guitar at that part and Ian paice is one of the best drummers ever

  • the last minute of the song= musical insanity ;)

  • this is a completly underated and forgotten album. I loved it when it came out. heard Lars from mettalica say it was his first album and thought I haven't heard that in years. thanks for posting these great songs from this great album.

  • @Ledzep69Man Couldn't agree more.

  • @Perebynis I couldn't agree more with you, dude.

  • @DzedajO Have to agree, the most psychedelic song Purple ever made. Great for listening while smoking some herbs.

  • Yep...bought the 8-track in 1971. Well recorded album.

  • The best drum performance ever made... try to play it

  • DP Mark 2 created their own genre, not style but an entire genre of which only they played. It could be called: HARD rhythm and symphonidelic jazz ROCK. When these five were together it was pure magic. All the songs on the first four albums were group compositions Each of the five were the equal of anyone else at what they did

  • Great song for ever
