A video of a quick 250-ish line Python program written using the real-time Firtree image processing framework. The video shows loading a high resolution photo image, real time zooming and panning and interactive creation and then refinement of an alpha mask.

Created as a test bed for the Firtree framework in one afternoon.

  • almost every program you can zoom and pan once the program is keyed the source image...

    that means is not "real time"...

  • Indeed, but not every program lets you tweak and re-generate the mask in real time. The zooming and panning is not the exciting feature :).
