  • This has been going on with me for years...honestly, my fingers have been twitching for years. I keep going to doctors but get no concrete answers. If you find out what it is, let me know.

  • ixtli13.....I have did alot of research as this is still going on with me and it is very annoying. But from what I found out it can be something called "fasciculations". I am going to go and try and see a neurologist as it may be something with my nerves as sometimes my hand hurts on that side. i will keep you posted

  • one big ass hand

  • Well i feel for you and heres some information from different sources which i hope helps:

-This can be a case of low sodium resulted from an imbalance of electrolytes in the body. Try supplementing with a bit of salt for sodium, bananas or raisins for potassium and consider very seriously an electrolyte balancing drink.

-Caused by a lack of potassium in your body. Eating bananas helps raise the healthy levels.

-Possibly loss of magnesium. They say that bananas and almonds/nuts help.

  • This was happening to me sometimes randomly when I tried to go to sleep — but only on some nights. I could never see a pattern. My doctor wouldn't give me Ambien (only thing that worked) until I saw a psych or neuro, so I saw a neuro, who said it was stress. I knew it wasn't. I tried potassium (a LOT of it) and it was the miracle cure. Try it! Docs who say this is benign have never gone all night without sleeping because of it. (And the "controlling our nervous system" theory is idiotic, btw.)

  • Fat Ass Fingersz Doee.

  • this occurs because we haven't evolved enough to control our nervous system fully (and our brain, for that matter)

these are ticks, and happen to 99.9% of the population. it's very normal, nothing to worry about.

they can happen anywhere from your head to your toes.. it's nothing but uncontrollable twitching, but there's nothing wrong with you.

supposedly, in a couple thousand years, we will have evolved enough to fully control our nervous system at all times.

  • @TANYABURROUGHS I thought you said it stopped after increasing your potassium and vitamin D?

  • I am having the se problem been to the neuro and he said nerves or possibly high suger or thyroid so I am being tested for them it has gotten worse. Check out my video I am on neurontin and it helps ALSo tried xanax and it slows it Down but nothing has stopped it.

  • No such thing as BFS. Fasciculations are never benign and a "syndrome" isn't a diagnosis. A syndrome is a group of symptoms..and thats all.

You might want to research chronic late stage Lyme disease.

  • I'm at the point that I don't believe in muscle spasms.

  • Do a search on ascaris lumbricoid. It's probably what it is. It can happen anywhere in the body.

  • walnuts too, i suppose.
