Even though Bob Backlund was world champ, Don Muraco was the real face of the WWF in 83. He made the IC Title more important than the WWF title in that period just by having the best matches, the hottest feuds with guys all over New York like Jimmy Snuka, Pedro Morales and even other territories and he was the most entertaining guy in wrestling. If it wasn't for Ric Flair's legendary feud with Harley Race that set up Starrcade, Muraco would have been wrestler of the year in 83'.

One of the best mic personalities, he knew how to give an interview. him, Flair, Piper, Rhodes, Sgt Slaughter, Brody, Hansen and A few others.
