Another video tribute to Lincoln Park. I went and took more photos today.

Most of the old photos are from "Lincoln Park Remembered", a book from Spinner Publications.

The 2008 photos and video were taken by me.

the music is the instrumental version of "The Kill" from 30 Seconds to Mars. I use most of their music for LP themed videos. I was listening to them alot when I was making videos.

It fell in mid May. There was a windy thrusday and it either fell that day or the Friday after when I discovered it. I drive by it everyday.

I REMEMBER GOING HAS A TEENAGER. I RODE THE ROLLERCOASTER JUST ONE TIME THEN AFTER LINCOLN PARK CLOSE. I WISH THEY DID ANOTHER LINCOLN PARK.

@Buzby11466 I can remember in the early 1970's going there with my parents on a summer saturday and my dad used to put me up on his shoulders and from a distance i could see the original Larry and Moe (From the 3 stooges)putting on a vaudeville act on the stage in the pavillion.

Went there evry year with my parents, Looked forward to it as part of the pigramige to my grandfathers house. He lived a few miles away

i never got to see this park i wasn't even born lol but i hear storys about it all the time and makes me wanna go there but did they tear everything down and start to build the apartments yet?

A friend of mine was on the coaster when it jack-knifed - the final ride of the comet. The park closed right after that. The cars remained in the tracks all twisted right where they stopped for the final time - well into the 90's. Then somebody tore them off the track and made off with them.

Gorgeous video. I liked the way you spliced in pictures and footage from when the park was operating between pictures of it in its current dilapitated state, and especially the way the music cut out completely at the end and just showed the ride, and the sound of people on it.

I used to come here in the 1970s! It was a fantastic place to be!
