  • Lynch is an open-minded artist, not a pretentious intellectual. why do you think this is only a money thing? Because is Calvin Klein? Commercials are another way of creating art on screen, so I think all his ads gave Lynch the opportunity of experimenting other ways of expressions

  • @odilemonod postmodernism is truly the stabbing knife in the intellect. Art should only be beautiful but it should have meaning.

  • There's nothing wrong with Lynch making commercials, he said so himself that he likes making commercials because in addition to being payed, he gets to use state of the art film-making technology and experiment with how he might use it in his movies. Also, Lynch's legendary visual style makes him ideal for directing short memorable advertisements.
