This is a simple test animation of a character I worked on a few weeks ago in Lightwave 3D. Modeling was a few hours on Saturday, with texturing and lighting polished up fairly quickly on Sunday. Rigging took a bit longer, but turned out to be reasonably simplistic with just the legs needing extra attention.
The test animation and rendering were done in Lightwave as well, with some simple finishing touches in After Effects (background colour and text).
While this stylistic direction was scrapped, the project continued. I hope to post the final short film (using a different character and style) soon.

what's the lighting and texturing that you used for this scene?
thanks in advance.

Lighting is a simple area light with, I believe, a little radiosity for fill lighting.
The texturing is a custom nodal surface I built in Lightwave. It's actually pretty simple, just some nice soft diffuse and specular settings controlled by weight map values.
