Video from the batch newly released by NIST that shows the collapse of the South Tower. Certainly sounds like there's a loud and distinct explosion just before/as the building comes apart. The person filming (presumably Jim Huibregtse) comments that he thinks it was a third plane that hit the building, again suggesting that he heard the sound, the explosion, and then saw the building come down. That is my interpretation, but it seems to be a reasonable one.

One important fact. The sound you hear seems to occur just as (or even just moments before) there are signs of the building coming down/apart. The important thing to remember is that there is typically quite a bit of delay between when a noise occurs and when that noise is heard (or captured on video) from a distance. This fact, that sound travels slower than light, strongly suggests that the noise you hear in this video occurs BEFORE the collapse, meaning that it could not be noise generated BY the collapse.

By the way: Check out the plume of smoke from the collapse at :40 to :42, to the left of WTC7, about a quarter of the way up of what you can see of WTC7. I see two distinct 'white trail' ejections (see my earlier posts) coming out of the pyroclastic plume. Do you see them? That seems odd, no? More thermitic reactions post-collapse? I have added a new video here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxucwMqSgbU) with a better view of these ejections.

EDIT: Comments turned off due to (1) an unfortunate number of derogatory racial/ethnic responses and the (2) rude and belittling comments of those who feel there is no reason to fully investigate the attacks of September 11, 2001.
