This music has been composed by the italian musician Alessandro Marcello, the adagio in D minor for oboes and strings. Johann Sebastian Bach made the adaptation for harpsichord and Michel Colombier just made his own adaptation.

[Rires]. So funny.

@TheIncredibleGodzy Perhaps you're right, but stop kidding, Michel Colobier composed this poignant lament for oboe and horn in memory of his recently died beloved son Emmanuel..So, of course, listening to that in the heart of the night, watching the elegiac drawings of those sad flying men above the sunset by Folon, you should feel a little bit blue, but you see, I still survive!..;)

@TheForestMan1977 It's France! I usually never overthink that when it comes to how rather artistic they approached broadcasting like this back then.
-
@JHollowayNetwork I suppose it's just how some countries want to do it. Noticed a few others of this period that didn't use anthems in France either, just artistic outros that work on their own.

@56phenom c'est juste magnifique de revoir ça 30 ans après, cette musique, ces images, la nostalgie du temps qui passe en plus.

@gaewelle Tu as trop raison Gaewelle.
@TheForestMan1977 I was just asking myself: how many people ended their life after this music ?
