I formerly lived in Nanaimo, life there was near impossible at best, after being layed off I struggled for a year and a half and burned out my EI benefits before moving down to Duncan. I came down here nearly broke and homeless mere months ago.
I did land a job at long last.. but yes, I am one of the "lucky" ones. Despite my situation, I feel bad for those out there still in the school system and going through that.
