From its modest beginning in 1898 as a trolley park that climbed from the banks of the Hudson River up to the top of the Palisades, to its heyday as one of America's most popular amusement parks, Palisades Amusement Park provided entertainment for generations of kids of all ages, until its gates closed for the last time in 1971.

My parents had theri first date at Palisades A Park in !939.... As a treat not too mnay years later, my brother and I enjoyed going a couple of times a year,always a big deal.
