Holy Shit, that is just simply AMAZING, thats like a grown women and its just indescribable, I wish I could sing like this :), and then when she grows up her voice could improve therefore have a outcome of being the best singer in the WORLD.

That was truly amazing, a tiny bit died in me because I know I'll never be able to sing like this :(

Respond to this video... Phrasing is showing good promise/intelligence. Doesn't always make it to the end of phrase, but she tries. An exercise they taught us in college - walk around the outside of house once, then sing. Makes for deeper breathing - but not too much. Just as an exercise. But I have done a few jumping jacks backstage before, if a piece was going to need power - like "How Great Thou Art." Just make sure to calculate just a BIT deeper breathing, not out of breath, LOL.

@wlaaaaa Please post page location. Compliments: Her DICTION is VERY GOOD, and SO many pros nowadays just mumble, and have really ugly vowels, too, that's partly why they sound so nasal. Maya's vowels are ahead of the pack, too! The "oooo" vowel is always the hardest. Always make sure it is "ooo" and not "EW" like you smell something icky.

She can be a beautiful voice, but the big power will have to come later with maturity, or she risks vocal damage from this "pushing", and her lovely sweetness is ONLY showing in those highest notes here - the ones she is not much used to. Go for the SWEET, girl! There's time to knock out the windows in a few years! Do NOT listen to idiots on the radio.

It's not that the higher pitches were out of her range. Like in "Eagle and the Hawk", she is most comfortable singing in a louder, powerful tone that is actually too much for her voice at this point and she loses any sweetness that way. When she has to switch to "head voice" for these upper pitches here, she can't carry off that harsher power that someone (or she) has taught her is correct. But it is not correct for her, certainly not yet. (continued)
